‘Unclean hands’: Hall County says suit regarding Juvenile Court billing may be barred because of attorney's alleged fraud

A Dawson County attorney filed a lawsuit Aug. 18 against Hall and Dawson counties, claiming he is owed nearly $85,000 in unpaid work for indigent clients in Juvenile Court. This comes as the Hall County Juvenile Court is undergoing an audit.
In August, a Dawson County attorney filed suit against Hall and Dawson counties for roughly $85,000 in unpaid work in their Juvenile Courts. The county has fired back by saying some of these claims may be barred because of the attorney’s alleged acts of fraud, according to their response.
