Andrew Clyde, R-Athens, a member of the House Budget Committee, voted against the massive GOP tax and budget package, Trump’s “big, beautiful bill,” helping to defeat it. Gainesville mayor, Sam Couvillon, criticized his vote, saying that Clyde was “a decisive vote in opposing @POTUS agenda” and that Clyde’s district “needs a leader who will vote to put them first.”
