Gainesville man sentenced after dealing drugs, including those that killed his childhood friend

Michael James Moore, 33, died the day after Thanksgiving 2021 in what law enforcement later determined to be a fentanyl overdose. The counterfeit Percocet pills were sold by his childhood friend, Joshua Maney, authorities said.
