I have been so saddened by the events occurring in Israel and Gaza that began on the weekend of Oct. 7. Much of what has been reported, particularly concerning the horrifying actions against Israeli people on that weekend, can be described by no other word than evil. These have been gut-wrenching and lamentable acts to hear about.
